History
Our history
Miez is a production company recently founded in Gonars with a long history. Alberto and Gloria, born in 1982, classmates born in the same month, lost sight of each other after compulsory school, each following their own path: Alberto in the footwear sector and Gloria in the designer furniture sector. They then meet again in 2022 by chance, but with the desire to make the world aware of a product that comes from the area where they were born, raised and still live: Gonars
Miez's Friulian shoes are in fact designed, developed and all handcrafted in Gonars, a small town in north-eastern Italy and a famous footwear district which was particularly important in the 90s but above all a town where this type of footwear has been produced for more than 200 years, which in the It has certainly undergone many changes over the years but maintains its artisanal and popular soul, while still being an elegant and timeless product.
Thus Miez was born, a Friulian name meaning Middle, to symbolize the middle ground, Friuli, the border territory with Central Europe and, thanks to its port, with the whole world, from which it wants to absorb all the cultural influences and reliability typical of this place, historically marked by difficult years and hard work, which have certainly influenced the population. Craftsmanship, reliability, seriousness and a look beyond borders therefore become Miez's manifesto.

We are known and appreciated for our ability to fully customize the product:
We work for hotels, spas, airlines, ships, event organizers, but also prestigious footwear brands both based on the customer's proposal and starting from one of our models, customizing the comfort or for example adding the customer's logo.

Faithful to our values
In producing and exporting our Friulian cheeses, we always want to be faithful to our values: - craftsmanship and history: we try to preserve the long history of Friulian cheeses and the manual skill of their processing; - hard work and planning: typical of the history of reconstruction of Frulana after many adverse historical events; -innovation and contamination: traits of a land that overlooks Central Europe with its borders and its port on the rest of the world; -diversity: in the sense of uniqueness, preciousness and variety that our landscape that ranges gives us from the mountains to the sea in just over 200 km.
MISSION
Craftsmanship and territory
At Miez we produce Friulian bread, a product of our territory that tells of craftsmanship and territory. We manage all the production processes, even the most artisanal and manual steps, and the result is a precious, elegant and timeless product. Our products are the result of careful selection of materials and expert production techniques, handed down from generation to generation.
We start from this every day to ensure that our products are as faithful as possible to these characteristics. In fact, we want to keep the original workmanship of this product alive, while always seeking innovation and permeability with other cultures, in order to bring a refined and elegant product into Worldwide.
